Canning Stock Route

This is the epic dirt bike trip for those people that have done everything else. This ride is a 5000 km loop starting and finishing in Alice Springs.

It tranverses the world's longest stock route - a 1870km track in Western Australia with around 700 sand dunes to cross. This stock route was put in over 100 years ago, to bring cattle from the Kimberley's to the southern markets. Wells were sunk every 30 kilometers, to supply water for the cattle. Some of these have been restored for use and we visit these, along with natural water holes, clay pans, aborignal paintings and rock formations along the way. This trip for the serious adventurer.

We traverse the Finke River Gorge, on our way to visit famous places like Ayers Rock (Uluru), Kings Canyon, The Olga's (Kata Tjuta) and The Gunbarrell Highway. We start the Canning Stock Route at Wiluna.

Once we have completed the Canning Stock Route, we head a little further north to visit Wolfe Creek Crater, the second largest meteorite crate on earth and also the setting for the film Wolfe Creek!

For those that still haven't had enough, they can take in the optional 1500km detour through the Kimberley's and around Lake Argyle before heading back to Alice Springs.

On the way back we can take in Stanley Chasm and the gorges that are near to Alice Springs.

This trip takes at least 3 weeks on a motor bike.
